Upon looking at some of the facets of women in sports broadcasting, this section aims to analyze why it continues to exist this way. The two factions I looked at, podcasts and the online community, differ greatly in their use, but both provide vital looks into the subject. Podcasting has become a staple of the media industry, and one that provides women a place to openly speak without having to be funded by a national broadcasting company. The online community, conversely, is a platform that suppresses women in this industry by being a home for hate and derogatory comments towards these women, which has become an all too common occurrence on the Internet.
